Secretary-General of ASEAN to participate in the ASEAN Strategic Policy Dialogue on Disaster Management 2025 in Singapore

Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, will participate in the ASEAN Strategic Policy Dialogue on Disaster Management (SPDDM), in Singapore, on 20 August 2025. Dr. Kao is expected to give remarks at the Opening Session of the SPDDM as well as deliver a keynote address at the event. The SPDDM is an annual strategic flagship event hosted by Singapore since 2015 and co-organised by Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), the ASEAN Secretariat and the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on disaster management (AHA Centre). Dr. Kao is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with international organisations at the sidelines of the SPDDM this year.
