Thai Electronics Firms Expand Amid Regional Supply Chain Shifts

Bangkok, September 6, 2025 — Thailand’s electronics manufacturing sector is experiencing significant expansion as companies adapt to shifting regional supply chains and increased demand for advanced technologies.

Delta Electronics Thailand’s Strategic Expansion

Delta Electronics Thailand is making substantial investments to strengthen its position in the regional manufacturing landscape. The company has allocated over 900 million baht towards machinery and land acquisition in Araya, aligning with Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) development. Additionally, Delta is implementing a 7.23 billion baht regional expansion plan, focusing on power management and electronic components, including power supply units, fans, electromagnetic interference filters (EMI), and solenoids. These investments aim to enhance production capabilities and meet the growing demand for electronic components in various industries.

Harmony Electronics’ New Facility in Om Noi

Harmony Electronics is set to launch a new manufacturing facility in Om Noi, Thailand, in the second half of 2025. This facility will be the company’s second site in Thailand and is expected to support industries such as consumer electronics, data communications, automotive, industrial systems, and medical applications. The expansion reflects Harmony’s commitment to addressing growing market demand, reinforcing global supply chain resilience, and lowering investment risks. The company anticipates receiving IATF certification within 24 months of operation.

Thailand’s Role in Regional Supply Chain Diversification

The expansion of these electronics firms in Thailand underscores the country’s strategic importance in the regional supply chain. As companies seek to diversify their manufacturing bases in response to global trade tensions and supply chain disruptions, Thailand offers a favorable investment climate and strategic location in Southeast Asia. The government’s support for the electronics sector, through initiatives such as the Eastern Economic Corridor, further enhances Thailand’s attractiveness as a manufacturing hub.
