Japanese firms have accelerated their shift away from Manufacturing production in China, with 81 organisations shifting towards South-East Asia in 2020 and 2021.
37 firms have chosen Vietnam as their destination of choice, with 19 intending to set up facilities in Thailand.
The moves come in the wake of an economic stimulus program launched by the Japanese Government in April, incentivising national firms to reduce their exposure to China and encourage economic growth.
