Secretary-General of ASEAN welcomes Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat
Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today met with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia, Senator the Honourable Penny Wong, at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat. Both sides took the opportunity to exchange views on ASEAN-Australia relations and discussed ways to further strengthen the ASEAN-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, including preparations for the 5th ASEAN-Australia Summit in October of this year, in Malaysia. The Meeting also highlighted, among others, Australia’s cooperation and support for ASEAN on humanitarian ground.
